About Documni
One app for every kind of document.
Write, open, edit and share your work in Documni. A new file shouldn’t mean another app, another subscription or another set of controls to learn.
Start with a blank page, a file or a scan.
Writing a letter shouldn’t need one app, changing a PDF another and putting together a presentation a third. Add a spreadsheet or a scan, and a simple job can turn into a collection of subscriptions and unfamiliar tools.
We created Documni to bring those jobs together. Open an existing file, start something new or capture a page with your phone. Work with it in a space suited to the document, then share the result.
A manuscript needs room for words. A spreadsheet needs cells and formulas. A design needs control over the page. They each have their own workspace, with the same familiar home around them.

A printed page is still a document, even when all you have is a photo of it. Documni’s recognition and reconstruction engine turns it into text, images, shapes and tables you can edit.
Change a headline, replace a logo or update the cells in a table. Reconstruction recovers the structure and arrangement of the page so you can work on the content itself.

A .dcmi file is Documni’s working format. It holds the document’s structure, text, images and other assets, along with the recognition information needed to keep working on it.
The format keeps files compact with lossless compression and reuse of identical assets. Text, images and editing information stay together without unnecessary duplication.
It is a real file you can name, move and back up. Keep the .dcmi to edit again in Documni, and export a PDF, Word document or image when you need a copy in another format.

There is a useful free tier at the heart of Documni, with 100 MB of cloud sync storage. Pro includes 2 GB. Both sync documents between your phone, browser and desktop. Free lets you keep two workspaces open at once; Pro has no workspace limit. Business tools are coming too.

This website uses no advertising or analytics tracking.
If you join the early list, we save your email address, selected category, beta email consent, optional marketing choice and the offer terms in our website database. We use the required consent for the beta release email and invitation. We send other news and offers only if you separately opt in; leaving that box unticked does not affect joining, testing or the early offer. Joining does not verify your email or education status, and does not start a paid subscription. Email ownership and any education eligibility must be confirmed before use. Earlier signup receipts and consent choices are preserved; resubmitting this form does not change them.
We use a temporary coded version of connection information to limit signup abuse. We keep beta signup details until the release follow-up is complete or you ask us to remove them. If you choose marketing, we retain that consent while it is active. You can withdraw either choice at any time. To withdraw consent, correct your details or request deletion, use the contact form.
Contact messages and new signup notifications reach our team through Fastmail. Contact messages include the email address, topic and message you provide; they are kept in our mail account while we handle your enquiry. Sending a message does not join the beta list or opt you into marketing. You can ask us to remove this correspondence.
Delivering this website requires our hosting providers to receive web requests, including connection information such as an IP address. This website information does not describe the data practices of a future Documni account or document service.
